We are continuing to work toward our 2010 Reaffirmation of Accreditation. Our Technology Plan Development Team is making great progress toward the completion of a comprehensive document that provides an historical overview and future direction for the utilization of technology in the educational and administrative processes of the College. The Safety Plan Team has completed their work in the development of an incident management and recovery system. Their work will continue as they seek to create the preparedness and prevention sections of the Safety Plan. The Faculty Credential Team is working on an audit of faculty credentials and will complete the development of the required SACS Faculty Roster in September. We have completed the 2008 Planning Summits and College personnel will soon begin the budget development process based upon annual needs assessments. A number of writing assignments have already been made for the narrative portion of the Compliance Certification, and Kristi Barnett and I are working on the "model template" to be used for the publication of the Compliance Certification. The QEP Development Team recently engaged in an interactive session to facilitate the selection of a topic. This session was preceded by a series of Campus Forums designed to gather input from personnel regarding student learning issues. The President's Cabinet is currently working to initiate the development of campus master plans.
Thanks for your continued support and good work toward our 2010 Reaffirmation of Accreditation!

Welcome
The SACS Reaffirmation website is up and running, thanks to the creative work of Russell Gann, Website Coordinator. Also, I want to thank Brian Gann for his leadership in capturing our conceptual framework for this site and bringing it to reality. Through the Reaffirmation and QEP Blogs we plan to keep the entire College community informed of the progress we are making. A number of our SACS teams have been appointed and are diligently working on their assignments. Over the next several months, activities related to Accreditation will become more intense and many of you will be called upon to assist. I appreciate your willingness to step up and contribute to this very important activity in the life of our College.
